Continuing education Credits
We are pleased to offer continuing education credits for Physicians, PAs, NP’s, Nurses, and EMS providers at no additional cost but you MUST apply ahead of time to get credit. Students are not eligible for CME or CE credits.
AMA CME Credit for Physicians
Sponsorship: Eastern Virginia Medical School Office of Continuing Medical Education. Eastern Virginia Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation: Maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Objectives:
Assess common wilderness emergencies including rapid assessment of injuries and medical conditions.
Treat or stabilize common trauma and medical conditions in wilderness environments.
Demonstrate problem solving skills as part of a medical team with limited resources.
Virginia Nursing Association Continuing Education Credits
Sponsorship: This program is approved by Sentara Healthcare (600 Gresham Drive Norfolk, VA 23507), VNA Approval Number: 08-01-05. Sentara Healthcare is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Virginia Nurses' Association Continuing Education Approval Committee, an accredited approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Credit Designation: 7 hours of Virginia Nursing Association Continuing Education Credits through Sentara Healthcare.
EMS Providers Continuing Education Credit
Sponsorship: Continuing Education Advanced Life Support EMS Providers CE credit has been applied for through the Virginia Office of EMS.
Credit Designation: This activity is approved for by the Virginia Office of EMS for 7 hours of Category 1 Continuing Education.
