Registration for the Newport News MedWAR 2025 is OPEN!

REGISTRATION DETAILS

Teams: 20 teams of three (3) racers. No less, no more, no exceptions.
There are no divisions for age, sex, or training level.

The race will be held in Windsor Castle Park in Smithfield, VA. Race events include hiking, trail running, mountain biking, canoeing, and orienteering as well as wilderness medicine scenarios and challenges.

Registration includes:

  • Race admission

  • Race insurance

  • Event shirt and swag

  • Post-race celebration

Rentals: Mountain bike and canoe rentals are available but you may also bring your own. We are arranging rentals with a local co-op. Please let us know if you need a bike or canoe!

Fees: $150 USD per team for early registration until 5/8/2025.
$165 USD per team for registration on or after 5/9/2025.

Deadline: May 24th, 2025
After this date, contact us. Entries may be accepted based on availability.

Cancellation policy: 90% refund until 5/8/2025. 50% refund until 5/17/2025. No refunds after 5/18/2025. After this date, we have already committed and paid for everything for your team, and as a small nonprofit, our funding is very limited. You may transfer your registration to another team up until the day before the race - contact us to make this happen. Teammate substitutions will be permitted any time before the race begins but must notify the Race Directors ahead of time. Teammate substitutions after 5/17/2025 may receive the shirt size of the original team member as we will have already placed the order.
